Microsoft has launched testing for a new feature that brings all your PC games into one place. The Xbox PC app can now display games from Steam and Battle.net alongside Xbox titles, creating a unified gaming hub for Windows users.
Microsoft’s push to make their Xbox app the central gaming platform on PC. Currently available to Xbox Insiders, this feature automatically detects games installed from supported storefronts and adds them to your library view.
How the New System Works
The integrated library displays all your games in one location within the Xbox app. Games from different platforms appear in both the main library section and the recent games sidebar. This eliminates the need to switch between multiple gaming clients to find and launch your titles.
Manisha Oza from Xbox’s product team explained that games automatically appear once installed from supported storefronts. The system requires no manual setup from users, making the transition seamless for existing PC gamers.
What This Means for PC Gaming
The feature will expand to include more gaming platforms over time. Microsoft plans to release this functionality to all users later this year, coinciding with new gaming devices like ROG Xbox Ally handhelds.
Users can customize which storefronts appear in their library through the app’s settings. The Library & Extensions section allows hiding specific platforms if desired, giving players control over their gaming experience.
