The new cross-play system will enable gamers to adventure together seamlessly across different platforms, including PlayStation, Xbox, Mac, and PC. The update adds a powerful photo mode that transforms in-game photography. Photography lovers will appreciate the extensive customization options, including:

- Ability to hide specific characters from shots
- Over 40 static and animated character poses
- Post-processing effects like contrast, saturation, and brightness

Patch 8 delivers an impressive selection of 12 new subclasses, enriching character creation and gameplay strategies. Each existing class receives a unique subclass, providing players with unprecedented customization:

Community Involvement
The studio will conduct a stress test for Patch 8 in early January, inviting players from Xbox, PlayStation, and PC to participate. By gathering player feedback before the official release, Larian wants to make the gaming experience better.
This update follows the studio’s marvelous financial success in 2023, with a pre-tax profit of €249 million largely attributed to Baldur’s Gate 3‘s incredible reception. Larian’s ongoing support and updates show their dedication to providing a great gaming experience.
