MOUTHOLE Is Free on Steam but Not for Long

A unique game called MOUTHOLE is now completely free on Steam. However, this free offer comes because the developers are closing down, and the game will soon disappear from Steam forever.

MOUTHOLE, created by Anything Nose Productions, is a psychological puzzle game with pixel graphics. Players can expect to “keep an eye on the time to ensure you make the most of your week in the psychospherical house of MOUTHOLE.” The game challenges you to solve puzzles and uncover mysteries while exploring what they call “quotidian existence.” Yes, the game actually takes place inside someone’s mouth and leads to 10 different surreal worlds.

Game Features Worth Noting

This unusual title includes 11 different endings and features “45 minutes of tooth-shattering music.” Players have given it a “Very Positive” rating on Steam, suggesting it’s worth your time despite its unusual premise.

Act Fast Before It’s Gone

The development team announced: “We’re very sad to have to announce that Anything Nose is no longer able to continue operating. Our upcoming game, Diacritic, is regrettably cancelled.” They explained that MOUTHOLE will soon be removed from Steam, which is why they’ve made it free.

The good news is that after the game leaves Steam, it will still be available for free on Itch.io, and its soundtrack will remain on Bandcamp. The developers expressed gratitude to their supporters: “We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played and supported our work. We can’t say how much we’ve appreciated it.”

No exact removal date has been announced beyond “soon,” so I recommend grabbing this game immediately if you’re interested. While it will continue to exist elsewhere, getting it on your Steam account now ensures you’ll always have access to it there.
