Activision just dropped a demo for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, though there’s a catch, you need to pre-order the full game first. The demo became available today across Xbox, PlayStation, and PC platforms.
I got to check out what the demo offers, and it includes two classic locations: the Foundry and College parks. You can play using Tony Hawk himself or newcomer Rayssa Leal, plus there’s a small collection of soundtrack songs to skate along to. The demo gives players a solid taste of what the complete game will deliver when it launches on July 11th.
Complete Remake Brings Modern Features
This isn’t just a simple remaster, Activision built Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 from scratch. The development team added fresh skaters, expanded trick combinations, and an updated soundtrack. Three brand new park locations join the classic ones: a water park, pinball table environment, and movie studio setting.
Online multiplayer supports up to eight players across different platforms. The new HAWK mode creates an interesting challenge where players drop letters in difficult locations, then race against time to collect as many as possible. Free Skate mode lets you practice without pressure, while Competitive playlists include Trick Attack, Score Challenge, Combo Mambo, Combo Challenge, and Graffiti modes.
Expanded Roster and Creation Tools
The playable character list grew considerably, adding Rayssa Leal, Chloe Covell, Zion Wright, Jamie Foy, Nora Vasconcellos, Margielyn Didal, Yuto Horigome, Aurélien Giraud, and Andy Anderson. Fans will enjoy finding Michelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a hidden unlockable skater.
Create-A-Skater returns alongside an improved Create-A-Park feature. The park editor now includes speed boost pads, musical notes, and custom goal options. A new photo mode helps players capture their best skating moments.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 releases July 11th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Switch, Switch 2, PC, and Game Pass subscribers.
